Every new Streben site is built on our own website platform: a purpose-built WordPress theme with an editor right on the page, in place of a page builder held together by plugins.
The usual setup
Most community websites are a stack of plugins.
A typical senior living site runs on WordPress with a page builder, then a plugin for forms, one for sliders, one for galleries, one for popups and several more. Each plugin is someone else's code running on your site. Each one needs updates, and plugins are where most WordPress security problems are found.
Editing is its own problem. A new photo or a holiday schedule means logging into a builder full of settings, or emailing the agency and waiting. So the site falls out of date, and families notice.
How ours is different

- Click, change, publish
- Your team edits right on the page. Click the words, type, preview, publish. The training takes about as long as reading this sentence.

- We decide which parts can be edited, like text, photos, buttons and approved layouts. Nobody can accidentally break the page structure or the brand.
- Far fewer plugins
- The theme and editor replace the page builder and most of the add-ons a typical site needs. Less code to patch means fewer ways in for attackers and fewer updates that break things.
- AI can edit it, safely
- The site connects to AI tools like Claude, which can draft pages and make updates inside the same design rules your team uses. AI edits can sit as drafts until someone on your team reviews them.
- Drafts before anything goes live
- Every change can be previewed as a draft. Nothing reaches families until someone publishes it.
- Yours to keep
- It's standard WordPress underneath, and your content stays in WordPress. If we ever part ways, the site and everything on it stay with you.
